Our aircraft are reaching the end of their service life. Without your help, we risk losing the power to reach people when they need us most.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. We are not NHS-funded.

A Great North Air Ambulance Helicopter

Our Mission is at a Critical Crossroads.

For over 20 years, our helicopters have been the lifeline between life and loss across the North. But our current aircraft are approaching retirement. They’re becoming too costly to run and too outdated to maintain the world-class standards our patients deserve.

Without immediate investment, we face the unthinkable, a future where we can’t respond as quickly, or at all, when time is everything.

We must act now to protect our ability to save lives across the region.
