ยฃ10 can provide us with a Pressure Bandage to stop an open wound from bleeding, giving us vital time to give a patient the best quality of care. Pressure bandages are one of the most common pieces of equipment we use when we attend an incident.

ยฃ25 can provide us with the drugs we take on all of our call-outs to provide patients with much-needed pain relief. Anaesthetic is used if a patient is in serious pain, our our critical care team need to carry out a critical intervention.

The introduction of the blood onboard service has allowed GNAAS to carry out roadside blood and plasma transfusions on patients at the scene of a life or limb-threatening injury.


Cardiac arrest is one of the most common incidents that we attend as a charity. Cardiac arrest is the sudden cessation of the heart’s function. This ยฃ50 can help us purchase defibrillation pads to deliver the shock to the cardiac arrest patient during an emergency.

When we attend an incident, it is vital that we can keep a patient’s airways open and operational. The ventilation tubes we use allow us to keep the airway open and crucially, stabilise a critically ill patient in their time of need. This is an essential component of our equipment bag.
