The Great North Air Ambulance Service provides advanced trauma care to the most severely ill and injured people in the North of England.

Did you know that we were called upon 1620 times last year? Every mission costs, on average, £4,135. We receive no government funding and rely on supporters like you to ensure we can be there for the next person who needs us. You are the hero of our quest, and we need YOU to join the battle!

Donations and sponsorship raised through World Gaming Day will ensure we can provide our patients with the very best chance of survival and recovery.

When is World Gaming Day?

Saturday 22 October - but you can pick any day in October that suits you!

Where should I hold my event?

You can host your World Gaming Day event in your living room, at your social club or at your local gaming cafe or bar - wherever works for you!

How much does it cost?

It's free to take part, but we'd love you to help raise vital funds to help provide critical care across the region. We suggest asking participants to donate to join in the fun, and add more incentives through GivePenny. Incentives can be anything you want - £2 means the next round your opponent is one-handed, or £1 and you'll add a song of their choice to the Spotify playlist. All of these can really add up and help save lives!

Who can take part?

If you play games, you're more than welcome to take part. Whether you're a Fifa fanatic, Monopoly magnate or you're skilled at Sonic, World Gaming Day is for you. Whether you're a streamer or a socialite, round up your friends and followers and get involved for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

I don't play video games - can I still get involved?

If card games or board games are more your style, you're absolutely welcome to join in the fun! Score points playing Scrabble or fundraise your way around Frustration - as long as you gather your group and play games to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Can I stream my gaming?

Involving your online community is a great way to get involved! We have streaming overlays available to send your way, and you can set challenges and incentives on your GivePenny fundraising page.

How much do I need to raise?

There's no minimum fundraising target - every donation helps power our advanced trauma care in the region. We suggest that each host asks their participants to donate to join in the fun and set fundraising incentives or challenges on your GivePenny fundraising page.
