A woman has been airlifted after she fell around 15-20 feet down steep steps at Souter Lighthouse in Whitburn at 1:44pm today (Feb 28). The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene and found the 60-year-old woman had suffered multiple injuries which were non-life threatening. She was assessed and treated by the aircrew doctor and paramedic before being transported to hospital by ambulance. .
