Skelton woman raises £417 for GNAAS at 80th birthday


A Skelton woman has raised £417 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) at her 80th birthday party. Pauline Jackson, whose milestone birthday was on March 11, held a get together at the Hollybush Hotel in Skelton, where she asked guests to make a donation instead of buying presents. Her daughter-in-law, Sue Jackson, said: “Over the years, she has raised many thousands of pounds to help keep the air ambulance operating. “Thank you to GNAAS for all their hard work.

Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at the charity said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Mrs Jackson for her continued support to the air ambulance. We hope she had a wonderful time on the night. The funds raised will help to save lives.”
