Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries after collision with tractor


A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision with tractor on the A691 near Durham City on Wednesday (June 03). An off-duty paramedic came across the incident and requested the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). The biker, a 55-year-old man, had suffered multiple, life-threatening injuries. GNAAS and North East Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man who was anaesthetised before the flight to hospital. He was then flown to James Cook University Hospital in 11 minutes, where he arrived in a critical condition. .
