Miller Homes’ year of fundraising pushes total donations to £18,000

Miller Homes Teesside has become an official partner of the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) after a series of successful fundraising initiatives.

In 2025, the housebuilder has donated £10,000 to support our life-saving work across the North.

Last year, they chose GNAAS as its charity of the year, taking part in a variety of events and challenges to raise vital funds. The centrepiece of their efforts was a staff walking challenge, in which miles walked were matched pound-for-mile by the company, resulting in more than £7,500 for the charity.

In addition to the challenge, staff attended our North East Ball and the annual charity golf day, further boosting the fundraising total. The latest £10,000 donation takes the total raised by Miller Homes for GNAAS in the last 12 months to more than £18,000.

GNAAS operates across the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and the Isle of Man, responding to more than 2,000 call-outs each year. The charity receives no government funding and relies on public and corporate support to meet its annual operational costs of £9.3 million.

Miller Homes Teesside joins a growing number of corporate supporters committed to helping GNAAS keep its critical care team flying. Through its corporate partner scheme, businesses pledge to raise a minimum of £5,000 and in return receive a range of benefits including event invitations, sponsorship opportunities, and the chance to have their logo displayed on GNAAS aircraft or rapid response vehicles when fundraising targets are met.

Ben Sisson, CSR and philanthropy specialist at GNAAS said: “We’re delighted to welcome Miller Homes as an official corporate partner and build on the really positive relationship that we have with the company.

“We’re incredibly grateful for their donations, which will go a long way in helping to save lives, ensuring we can continue providing our vital services across the North East, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.”

Mark Bayliss, regional managing director at Miller Homes Teesside said: “We’re proud to be a corporate partner of GNAAS and help such an important organisation that has saved the lives of many people over the years.

“It was great to see so many of the team at Miller Homes Teesside take part in a wide range of charitable initiatives, highlighting the different ways to raise money and awareness for a charity that means so much to so many people.”
