Man suffers life-threatening heart attack


The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a man who had suffered a life-threatening heart attack near Wooler, Northumberland. The 51-year-old was successfully resuscitated by a local community paramedic and community first responder.

The 51-year-old was successfully resuscitated by a local community paramedic and community first responder. He remained in a critical condition and was flown to Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital for specialist treatment. The flight took 27 minutes.  

The incident happened on November 29.
