Man airlifted from Haltwhistle Health Centre with chest pain


A man was airlifted from Haltwhistle Health Centre, Northumberland, after suffering from chest pain yesterday (June 15). The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 10am. The 69-year-old man, from Hexham, was treated by the GNAAS crew before being flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The 69-year-old man, from Hexham, was treated by the GNAAS crew before being flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 11 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
