Dear reader,
First and foremost we must give a huge thanks to all our volunteers who go out of their way to raise awareness and drum up support, from administration work to delivering presentations. As the summer approaches, they’ll also be involved in an array of exciting public events. To all those who volunteer, in any capacity for all causes – you are truly incredible folk.
This summer we have an action packed diary of public events that we believe some of you might already be planning on going to. If so, why not consider coming along with us? We’re a fun and welcoming bunch always eager to grow our ground crew volunteer team. Our events volunteers are eager to meet new faces so that together we can all ensure these events are a roaring success. We’ll be attending public events across the entire region; Cumbria, the North East and North Yorkshire and we’re looking for anyone willing to volunteer to dedicate just a small amount of time to help us raise vital funds. You don’t need any previous experience just oodles of enthusiasm to make sure everyone’s having a great time – you might be meeting and greeting members of the public, accepting donations, selling raffle tickets, wearing our mascot bear suit or handing out stickers.
