Cyclist seriously injured in Honister Pass crash


A man was described as being in a critical condition after crashing into a wall while cycling at Honister Pass, Cumbria.


The 48-year-old, from the Liverpool area, was believed to be with a group of friends when the incident happened on Saturday.

The GNAAS crew, called at 1.10pm, worked alongside a North West Ambulance Service paramedic in treating the man on scene.

He was then flown to hospital in Preston with multiple, serious injuries.

The flight took 25 minutes and the man was stable on arrival in Preston.
