We’re shining the spotlight on our Corporate Partner Cumbria Operations and Maintenance Services (COMS) who have raised thousands of pounds for our charity.
COMS, based in Whitehaven, is a leading provider of operational, maintenance and engineering services in the nuclear and regulated industry sectors.
The company was founded in 2014 by Cliff Woodman and Dave Garratt and has grown to over 80 professionals committed to safety, quality, and community impact.
Over the years, COMS has donated tens of thousands of pounds to local charities and has actively engaged in social impact initiatives.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, COMS chose GNAAS as their charity of the year and held a golf tournament and casino night to support us.
All the money raised from the ticket sales and fundraising on the day was donated to GNAAS, and the business subsequently made an additional donation, resulting in more than £10,000 donated to our charity.
In recognition of their fundraising efforts COMS were made a Corporate Partner of our charity, and their logo takes pride of place on one of our rapid response vehicles for a year.
To qualify as a Corporate Partner, businesses pledge to raise a minimum of £5,000 and in return receive a range of benefits including event invitations, sponsorship opportunities and a trophy highlighting their support for our charity.

Those who reach £10,000 like COMS will be offered the opportunity to have their logo displayed on one of our vehicles, which is used by our doctors and paramedics.
Natasha Banks, CSR and Philanthropy Specialist at GNAAS, said: “We are thrilled to receive a donation for more than £10,000 from COMS and have them as one of our Corporate Partners. As a charity, we do not receive any government funding and have to raise approximately £9.3m to remain operational, so we are very grateful for their support. This generous donation will help our doctors, pilots and paramedics continue to help critically ill or injured people across the region.”
