“At Edwin Thompson LLP, choosing a Charity of the Year is always a meaningful decision, and last year we were incredibly proud to support GNAAS. Their work is nothing short of life-saving, providing rapid-response critical care across the North, often in the most challenging and time-sensitive circumstances. Knowing that such a vital service relies heavily on charitable support made our choice an easy one.

Throughout the year, our team embraced a wide range of fundraising activities, from hosting our own Bake Off events to taking on the challenge of the Great North Run. These moments brought colleagues together, strengthened team spirit, and created a shared sense of purpose. Whether it was baking, running, or simply cheering each other on, every effort contributed to supporting an organisation that truly makes a difference.
What stood out most to us was the profound impact GNAAS has on our local community. Their presence offers reassurance that, in critical moments, expert care is never far away. Many of us have personal connections to the areas they serve, which made our fundraising efforts feel even more significant and close to home.

Supporting GNAAS has been an inspiring journey for everyone at Edwin Thompson LLP. It has not only allowed us to give back to a remarkable charity but also reminded us of the strength and generosity within our own team. We are honoured to have played a small part in helping sustain such an essential service for our region.”

“The reason we love to support the Great North Air Ambulance is very, very simple.

We have kids, we have families, the majority of us live in remote areas, not easily reached by main roads, knowing we have the guardian of the north above us is the best peace of mind we could ask for, we literally sleep better and feel more relaxed knowing you guys have our backs.

Over the years of supporting, you we have met so many people with fascinating stories, we are also very lucky to be good friends with some of the paramedics and it really is like knowing a superhero!

Couldnโ€™t think of a more worthy cause. Selfishly our little challenges keep us nice and fit, which surely is a good thing and will lower our chances of ever needing your assistance!

Keep up the great work and thank you so much for making us a corporate partner, it’s absolutely up there with one of my and my company’s best achievements.”

“The Donald Malcolm Foundation allows colleagues of The Malcolm Group to nominate and support local charities that matter to them. Our depots in the North of England were keen to support the Great North Air Ambulance as it provides a vital service to both locals & visitors who come to enjoy the area, which is quite rural. It is widely recognised within the road Haulage community that our area has some of the key transport routes in the UK network which is why we felt it appropriate to donate to such an important asset to our community.”

I chose to support this fantastic charity the Great North Air Ambulance Service after my little brother Matty Heath was killed in a motorcycle accident back in 2008.

The GNAAS had landed at the scene of the accident and did everything they could to help save his life but unfortunately it wasnโ€™t the case for Matty.

Since then Iโ€™ve support GNAAS in anyway I can, as they were there to try and help Matty so I will always try my best to help GNAAS, at the same time I always vouched to keep my little brothers memory very much alive and thatโ€™s what Iโ€™ve done.

My moto is โ€œeverything I raise helps to stop other familyโ€™s going through what we have in loosing Mattyโ€

When I first met Natasha, I realised how little I actually knew about the Great North Air Ambulance. Iโ€™d always heard of GNAAS, but I genuinely assumed such a vital, lifeโ€‘saving service would be funded by the NHS. I couldnโ€™t believe it when I learned it wasnโ€™t.

Natashaโ€™s energy, passion, and absolute commitment to the cause, combined with the stories of lives saved right here in West Cumbria, made it impossible not to get involved.

Plain Purpose is incredibly proud to be a Bronze Level Corporate Partner for such an essential charity, and to play even a small part in keeping this service flying.

The Great North Air Ambulance provides such a great service to our region and literally saves lives! We all know the importance of this vital charity in the region and without it, well it’s unthinkable, and the costs of running this operation are sky-high!

The Cumbria Chamber of Commerce was honoured to support the charity at last yearโ€™s annual Christmas meal with the auction and much-needed funds were raised.
I think itโ€™s important to point out that without all the great contributions from businesses across Cumbria and all the people who participated in getting involved in the auction this would have not been possible.

With the support we received with donations and the amount of money raised it’s safe to say this charity means a lot to a great many people.
