By joining Team GNAAS, every kilometre you run helps keep our helicopters flying and rapid response vehicles on the road, bringing life-saving care to people across the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.
From the busy streets of Newcastle to some of the most remote locations in our region, our crews are ready to respond when every second counts. But we couldn’t do it without the incredible support of people like you.

Where does the run start and finish?
The Newcastle 10K starts and finishes on Newcastle Quayside, taking runners along the River Tyne past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
How long is a 10K?
A 10K is 10 kilometres (approximately 6.2 miles), making it a fantastic challenge for both experienced runners and those taking on their first organised running event.
Is the Newcastle 10K beginner-friendly?
Absolutely! Whether you’re an experienced runner looking for a new personal best or taking on your very first 10K, the Newcastle 10K is a brilliant event to get involved in. Please note that the event has a 90-minute course cut-off.
How much does it cost to enter?
Our charity entry is priced at £25. We also encourage all of our runners to raise as much as they can to support our life-saving service.
What is the minimum age requirement to enter?
The minimum age to take part in the Newcastle 10K is 15 years old.
