FAQs
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather; layers are best. Ensure that you wear comfortable clothing.
- Skirts are not recommended.
- Avoid boots or bulky footwear.
- Trainers or secure shoes are ideal.
- You may need to remove unsuitable footwear (Boots/hi-top or slip-on shoes) for the harness.
Are there any exemptions to who can jump?
You can NOT jump if any of the following apply:
- Under 14 years old.
- Pregnant.
- Under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Your maximum weight exceeds 120kg (18.9st).
If any of the following apply, you MUST seek professional medical advice before jumping and sign a non-standard waiver:
- High blood pressure.
- Heart condition.
- Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy.
- Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes.
- Asthma.
- Medication: If you are taking any kind of prescribed medication, please inform us of how this may affect you.
- Aged 50 years or above: We strongly advise that you seek medical advice prior to taking part.
Is there parking available?
Parking is limited at Marina Back Car Park. We recommend using the Whitby Park & Ride for ease.
Please be aware that there is no parking at the viaduct itself, so registration takes place next to Coates Marine in the Marina Back Car Park, Langbourne Road, Whitby, YO21 1YN.
Do I need to be super fit?
You donโt need to be an athlete, but you should be in reasonable health. (Full medical guidance and T&Cs will be provided before the event.)
How does the harness work?
Youโll be fitted with secure ankle harnesses by trained professionals to ensure a safe and controlled jump. The waist harnesses fit a minimum size of 40cm (15.7 in), and a maximum of 125cm (49.2 in).
What happens if Iโm nervous?
Thatโs completely normal. Our experienced team will guide you through every step, you just need to take the leap.
