A whole new kind of Beast

The Northern Berzeker is a brand new mountain bike challenge, brought to you by the clan who created the ever-popular Hamsterley Beast.

Taking place in the Raby Estates, this ride promises a day on the bike to remember, with miles of natural trails and unridden tracks to explore.

There are three distance options on the day: the big loop comes in at 35 country miles and is absolutely packed with fantastic natural terrain, while the shorter route is 20 miles.

There will also be an easy-going family-friendly loop for those that fancy a nice day or weekend out with the kids.

Big rides are £40 family ride is £10.

More than a bike ride

Make a weekend of it and camp over on Saturday night.

Pitch your tent or park the van in view of Raby Castle and enjoy live music, local DJs and fresh food, as well as a fully-licensed bar.

There will also be demonstration opportunities and on-site mechanics to make sure your bike is in tip-top condition to ride the following day.

Do it for GNAAS

The Northern Berzerker is organised by an incredible group of mountain biking enthusiasts who wanted to give something back to the Great North Air Ambulance Service, which has flown to the aid of many injured cyclists over the years.

The entry fee from the riders goes towards GNAAS and many participants also choose to raise money through sponsorship.

To date, the Hamsterley Beast riders have raised more than £100,000 for the charity.
