Woman flown to hospital after M6 collision


A WOMAN was flown to hospital after a road traffic collision on the M6 yesterday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) Langwathby-based aircraft was called to the M6, near junction 35, at around 1.30pm, where a woman, in her 70s, had suffered serious injuries to her back and head. She was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service and the GNAAS trauma team before being flown to the major trauma centre at Royal Preston Hospital within 11 minutes, where she arrived in a serious but stable condition..
