Woman cut free from car and airlifted


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to reports of a car that had left the road and collided with a tree near Hartlepool at 8:05am today (Mon). A 22-year-old woman was cut free from the car and North East Ambulance Service paramedics asked for the assistance of a GNAAS doctor at the scene. The woman suffered serious chest injuries, as well as arm and abdominal injuries, and was flown to James Cook University Hospital in three minutes..
