Woman airlifted after several vehicles collide on A19


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a collison involving several vehicles on the A19 near Picton. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated a woman, in her 70s, for neck and arm injuries before she was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within three minutes.

The air ambulance was tasked to the incident at 1pm yesterday.
