Woman airlifted after car collides with tree


The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a woman whose car had collided with a tree near Greystoke, Cumbria, at around 8:40am this morning (Tues). The 67-year-old was treated at the scene for serious arm and leg injuries before being flown to the major trauma centre at the RVI in Newcastle.

The 67-year-old was treated at the scene for serious arm and leg injuries before being flown to the major trauma centre at the RVI in Newcastle. The flight took 20 minutes and she was stable upon arrival.

The ambulance service, police and fire crews all attended the scene in another team effort.
