Walker airlifted after fall at Clough Head


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a walker who had slipped and suffered a serious ankle injury at Clough Head, near Keswick. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team administered strong pain relief and treatment at the scene before the woman, in her 40s, she was flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary within 10 minutes.

The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team administered strong pain relief and treatment at the scene before the woman, in her 40s, she was flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary within 10 minutes. She arrived in a stable condition.

The incident happened at around 2.10pm on Sunday. GNAAS worked alongside Keswick Mountain Rescue Team.
