Walker airlifted after fall along Hadrian’s Wall


A WALKER was airlifted to hospital after taking a fall along Hadrian’s Wall on Saturday. The woman, who was 40 and from Jarrow, sustained a leg injury. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident which happened 2km north of Haltwhistle. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the woman before she was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, for on-going treatment.

The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the woman before she was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, for on-going treatment. The flight took 12 minutes and the patient arrived in a stable condition.
