Two people airlifted after serious A590 crash


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a road traffic collision on the A590 near to Levens, at 10.45am today. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team treated the driver of a car, a man in his 70s, who had suffered a serious chest injury.

The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team treated the driver of a car, a man in his 70s, who had suffered a serious chest injury. The patient was flown to Royal Preston Hospital within 20 minutes. He arrived in a serious but stable condition.

A female passenger of the same car was airlifted to hospital by North West Air Ambulance.
