Fundraising as the name suggests, should be fun with many supporters choosing thrilling and exciting challenges as a way of raising sponsorship funds. These challenges take grit determination and positive attitude. We applaud these participants! Every month we have supporters pledging their support in a variety of ways. This month we‘ve seen students take part in skydives, a hairdresser take part in a six-day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro and the Alnwick Young Farmers group, which has pledged support with plans to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge this May. To keep up to date with our fundraising news follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
We also organise many GNAAS led events throughout the year and planning is almost complete for our Air Angels Ball, set to take place on 4 June at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle. The invitations have been posted out and places are filling up fast. If you haven’t received an invitation, don’t worry, you are more than welcome to join us for this incredible occasion. As always this event will be exquisitely executed and thanks to the generosity of the Simpson Group, the attention to detail will ensure that every one of our guests has an unforgettable and fun-filled experience. The evening’s entertainment includes, live music from Newcastle six-piece band, Grooveline, a Spitfire flight simulator courtesy of Flight Sim Centre and the ever popular silent disco.
There is also a chance to win some unique prizes in our charity auction and raffle. We’re still accepting prize donations so if you have something you think we could include please contact our Events Manager Ruth on 01325-487263.
Tickets are £60 and can be bought individually or in tables of up to 12 people. For extra convenience, accommodation is available through the Hilton Hotel, however there are a limited number of rooms available for our guests at the special rate of £95 per room bed and breakfast.
