Teenager injured in motocross crash


A teenager was airlifted with back injuries following a motocross accident over the weekend.


The incident happened at Haverigg, near Millom in South Cumbria, on Saturday.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s Pride of Cumbria aircraft and crew were activated at 4.45pm.

Working alongside the North West Ambulance Service, the doctor and paramedic aircrew assessed and treated the patient, a male, before he was flown to hospital in Carlisle for further treatment.

The flight took 15 minutes and the patient was stable on arrival at hospital.
