Teenager airlifted to hospital after being struck by car near Stockton


A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton. The male pedestrian sustained critical head, chest and facial injuries. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) doctor-led aircrew administered a general anaesthetic to the 19-year-old and used specialist equipment to manage his facial injuries. He was flown to the major trauma centre at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in just three minutes, where he arrived in a stable condition.
