Successful launch of corporate partnerships

This week we invited charitable businesses from across the region to our bases to celebrate the launch of our new Corporate Partner scheme.

The events took place at our headquarters near Eaglescliffe and our base in Langwathby, Penrith, and were used an opportunity to celebrate and thank local companies who have supported our charity throughout 2023 and into 2024.

Since GNAAS was registered as a charity in 2002, thousands of businesses have chosen to support us for several reasons, including fulfilling their corporate social responsibility requirements, boosting staff morale and raising their profile to customers.

Donations from corporate supporters is already a significant contributor to the annual fundraising income of GNAAS, which needs approximately £8.5m a year to remain operational.

In the financial year 2022/23, corporate supporters contributed approximately 8% of the total income.

The launch event provided further insight into the operations of our charity and featured guest speakers Rob Hope and Sue Wilkinson, who both required the help of our charity’s critical care team.

Natasha Banks, specialist fundraiser Cumbria at GNAAS, said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our corporate partners attend our launch event and show their support for GNAAS.

“A few of them had not visited our base before so it was a great opportunity to showcase the impact of our charity by giving them a tour of our helicopter, meeting some of our critical care team, and also hearing from one of our former patients Rob Hope, who required our services in 2018.”

Ben Sisson, specialist fundraiser North East at GNAAS, added: “It was a pleasure to welcome our corporate partners to the base.

“We’re very excited to continue working with them this year and hopefully attendees left the event with some new contacts as well as motivation to raise more awareness and funds for our charity.”

To become a Corporate Partner at GNAAS, businesses need to raise a minimum of £5,000.

In return they are given a glass display plaque and are featured on the charity’s website, social media and the corporate newsletter.

There are also opportunities for them to volunteer, use the charity’s conference room, have first refusal of sponsorships and invites to charity events.

The charity’s Corporate Partners for 2024 are Able UK, Accapi Ltd, Anglo American, BTS Facades & Fabrications, Cranstons, Crummock Bank Farm, Frank Bird Poultry, Genesis Homes, GMI Construction, Hawthorns Logistics, HR2Day, Husqvarna, ICL Boulby, KP Snacks, Lambton Estates, Lycetts, Max Out in the Lakes, M&L Richardson & Sons, Patrick James Solutions, PMS Fabrications, Porsche Centre South Lakes, Seaham Hall, Universal Tankers, and Waitings.
