The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is celebrating an incredible first year of partnership with Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle, after they’ve raised £19,362.18
The majority of the funds have come from the hotel’s luggage storage scheme, where guests are invited to make an optional donation per bag, with the proceeds going directly to GNAAS.
The initiative has demonstrated how small acts of generosity can make a remarkable difference, with thousands of hotel guests choosing to donate to the charity during their stay.
Royal Station Hotel has also supported GNAAS through complimentary use of their venue, which can accommodate meetings, events, conferences, and even weddings.

In February, the hotel kindly hosted our Galentine’s Lunch event, generously providing the beautiful Victoria Suite, along with a delicious two-course meal for up to 120 guests, completely free of charge.
The complimentary venue and hospitality helped ensure that even more of the money raised from the event could go directly towards our life-saving service.
The corporate partnership is set to continue throughout the year, with the hotel also supporting GNAAS at its upcoming Christmas events, which will be held during November and December.

Vicky Fisher, senior corporate relationship manager at GNAAS, said: “We’re very grateful to have Royal Station Hotel as one of our Corporate Partners.
“Raising more than £19,000 in just 12 months is a phenomenal achievement, and it’s only been possible thanks to the kindness of the hotel’s guests and staff. Their support, from the luggage storage fundraising scheme to hosting our Galentine’s Lunch and upcoming Christmas events, is helping us continue delivering life-saving care across our region.”
