Pensioner seriously injured in Stanhope collision


A pensioner was seriously injured in a road traffic collision near to Stanhope in Weardale. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene on Sunday 13th at 11:45am. The 83-year-old man was treated by the trauma team and North East Ambulance Service paramedics before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for further treatment.

The 83-year-old man was treated by the trauma team and North East Ambulance Service paramedics before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for further treatment. The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
