Paramedics restart man’s heart after cardiac arrest in Sunderland


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, on Sunday where a man believed to be in his 60s, was found next to his bike on a cycle track suffering from a cardiac arrest. North East Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and paramedics restarted his heart before the GNAAS team placed him into a medically induced coma.

North East Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and paramedics restarted his heart before the GNAAS team placed him into a medically induced coma. He was then taken by road to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where he arrived in a critical condition.
