Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with car


A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a collision with a car, near Guisborough, at around 6:30pm yesterday (Apr 9). The 50-year-old rider suffered serious arm and leg injuries in the collision at Birk Brow. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to the major trauma centre at Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital.

The 50-year-old rider suffered serious arm and leg injuries in the collision at Birk Brow.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to the major trauma centre at Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital. The flight took just three minutes.

His condition was stable upon arrival.
