Motorcyclist airlifted after collision on A6 at Clifton


A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a collision involving his bike and a car on the A6 at Clifton, near Penrith. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 12:40pm on Sunday (July 24). The male motorcyclist, believed to be in his forties and from Lancashire, sustained serious multiple injuries and was treated by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew before being flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 20 minutes, where he arrived in a stable condition..
