AN ELDERLY Millom man was airlifted to hospital after a fall from a mobility scooter.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s (GNAAS) Pride of Cumbria helicopter was called to Millom at 3pm yesterday to reports of a man who had fallen from a mobility scooter and become trapped between a vehicle and house.
On arrival at the scene the aircrew medics, along with a North West Ambulance Service paramedic, assessed and treated the man, in his late 80s, for serious injuries to both his arms.
The patient was then flown to the Royal Preston Hospital in just 10 minutes for further treatment. His condition upon arrival was stable.
