Man airlifted to hospital after medical episode while driving


A MAN was airlifted to hospital after suffering from a medical episode while driving. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Stanhope, County Durham, at 6.34pm yesterday. GNAAS worked alongside North East Ambulance Service to assess and treat the man, in his 60s, before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for ongoing treatment. The flight took 16 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition..
