Man airlifted after falling from a ladder


The Great North Air ambulance Service (GNAAS) was yesterday called to Rosthwaite, Lake District, where a man had fallen from a ladder. The charityโ€™s Pride of Cumbria aircraft was called to the scene at 5.30pm to assist the man, believed to be in his 50s. He was treated on scene by the GNAAS doctor-led aircrew for back injuries before being flown to Royal Preston Hospital in a flight that took 24 minutes.
