A MAN was airlifted after a fall from scaffolding in Blencow, near Penrith, yesterday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 3pm and landed at Blencowe Hall. The 63-year-old man from Hexham had sustained back and arm injuries.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 3pm and landed at Blencowe Hall.
The 63-year-old man from Hexham had sustained back and arm injuries. The doctor-led trauma team administered advanced pain relief at the scene before the patient was flown to Newcastle’s RVI in 21 minutes, where his condition was stable on arrival.
GNAAS worked alongside North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
