Man, 67, dislocates both knees in Lake District fall


The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to Pike of Carrs, Langdale, to a hiker who had fallen and dislocated both knees at 4pm yesterday (Sun 29). The 67-year-old man, from Blackpool, was treated at the scene by GNAAS crew and Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) before being carried to the aircraft and flown to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, for treatment.
