Lakeland walker rescued after fall on Borrowdale path


A WALKER was rescued after injuring herself when she slipped on a Lake District path. The 59-year-old woman fell and injured her hip when she slipped on a rocky slab below Millican Dalton’s Cave, between Grange and Rosthwaite, in Borrowdale. Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out at around 2.50pm on September 6 and went to the walker’s aid, shortly followed by the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). The GNAAS doctor-led team assessed and treated the woman before she was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. .
