Incident round-up: September 16

Yesterday two of our helicopters were sent to a collision on the A1 near Morpeth.

The incident resulted in two people being airlifted, one by each team. Both were airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Flight time into hospital was just five minutes.

In the evening our crew were called to Darlington’s South Park. We activated at 6.22pm to support North East Ambulance Service after a person was reported to have sustained an injury in a fall. Our team was on scene in ten minutes and after treatment the patient was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
