A round up of some of the incidents we attended this weekend: On Saturday at 11.40am we flew to Kelloe, County Durham, after a 47-year-old male had collapsed from a serious medical condition, whilst working in a garden.

On Saturday at 11.40am we flew to Kelloe, County Durham, after a 47-year-old male had collapsed from a serious medical condition, whilst working in a garden. The doctor-led trauma team worked alongside North East Ambulance Service in administering CPR before the patient was taken to hospital in Durham by road. He arrived in a critical condition.

At 3.15pm on Saturday, our Langwathby-based crew were called to Gosforth, West Cumbria, to assist a ten-year-old girl who had fallen 15 feet. The patient sustained non-life-threatening pelvic and leg injuries, and was administered advanced pain relief by our doctor-led trauma team. She was airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for further treatment and arrived in a stable condition.

At 11.50am on Sunday, we were called to Warkworth, Northumberland, after a collision between a car and a motorbike on the A1068. We assisted a male in his 50s who had suffered non-life-threatening pelvic and leg injuries. He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in 14 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

On Sunday at 1.20pm we flew to Holy Island to help a 22-year-old female who had fallen off a horse. The patient suffered non-life-threatening limb injuries and neck pain, and was flown to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington, in 20 minutes. She arrived in a stable condition.
