Incident Round-Up: August 30


Our crew at Durham Tees Valley Airport attended the following incidents on August 30:


Yesterday at 2.10pm we were called to reports of a road traffic collision near Berwick. The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team assessed and treated a man, believed to be in his 60s, before airlifting him to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle. The flight took 20 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.

At 6.20pm we were called to Barnard Castle where a woman, believed to be in her 20s, was suffering from a medical problem. After treatment on scene by our doctor-led team the patient was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took 15 minutes and she arrived in a critical condition.
