Going to the ends of the Earth

Dear reader, Another month has passed us by and the winter is fast approaching, which means the GNAAS team is busy formulating exciting plans for 2017.

Dear reader,

Another month has passed us by and the winter is fast approaching, which means the GNAAS team is busy formulating exciting plans for 2017. Year to date, we have seen some incredible volunteer action and we remain indebted to the time given by our volunteers, which has helped us achieve so much more. In the past three months, our volunteers from across our regions have supported upwards of 350 new activities, they’ve volunteered more than 950 hours and travelled in excess of 9500 miles.

Since January this year our volunteers have travelled more than 14,000 miles to help out at various types of events from cheque presentations, to school and community talks to summer fetes. That’s just over half way around the world! Our volunteers go to the lengths of the earth for GNAAS.

Time is a gift and our volunteers donated to us their precious time, which since January has totaled more than 1900 hours. These hours have allowed us to achieve an extra 260 days  of community action; meeting with supporters, raising awareness and helping raise much needed funds. So we really, really do appreciate the time our volunteers give.

As the charity’s volunteer coordinator I would like to thank all our volunteers for their support and welcome our new applicants who are waiting to begin our new Ground Crew Volunteer Training Program.
