The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) has 30 theatre tickets up for grabs thanks to an amateur theatre group.

Carlisle Green Room Club, based at the West Walls Theatre, Carlisle, has given the free tickets to the charity.

The play is called Flare Path, and will be performed at the theatre on Monday 6th October. The tickets are £7 and £8 and all funds raised from the tickets will come to GNAAS.

Flare Path is described as a “heart-warming play, set in a hotel lounge near an airfield where bombers set off on their missions during the Second World War. There are tender love stories, comedy scenes and moments of suspense in this very moving play.”

Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS, said: “All the money raised from the tickets will come directly to GNAAS to keep our aircraft flying. We would like to thank Rose Black, the box office manager, for choosing us as the charity to benefit and for this kind contribution. We hope people take up this fantastic offer to support our air ambulance service.”
