Girl, 7, injured in playground fall

Yesterday morning, July 26th, we airlifted a seven-year-old girl who had fallen from a climbing frame in Hartlepool.

She had sustained a potentially serious neck injury.

Working with a rapid response paramedic from the North East Ambulance Service, our doctor and paramedic team stabilised the girl on scene before loading her onto the aircraft.

She was then taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, a flight which took just four minutes.

She was stable upon arrival.
