Funding boost as Wilkinson makes pledge

GNAAS is pleased to announce it has been selected as Wilkinson’s new regional charity of the year.

Throughout 2012/13, Wilkinson stores across the North East and North Yorkshire will be fundraising in order to raise as much money as they can to help keep the air ambulances fully maintained and flying.

For the last three years, Wilkinsons has nominated a different national charity of the year.  However, this year the company has pledged to support local charities within the community and it was the Wilkinsons’ team members in the North East region who chose GNAAS as their nominated beneficiary. There are 28 stores fundraising for GNAAS, from Alnwick to Northallerton.

Since opening its first store, Wilkinsons is committed to Britain’s high streets and prides itself on being a community focused retailer, actively supporting local charities and community groups.

Stores across the region will be kicking off various fundraising activities throughout the year and will be working in collaboration with GNAAS in order to raise as much awareness and money in the coming twelve months. Please look out for fundraising on your next visit to Wilkinson.

Mandy Drake of GNAAS said: “This is a fantastic commitment from Wilkinson and we are all really looking forward to working with them over the next year. The money raised will go to keeping our helicopters flying. We are keen to hear from any business who would like to get involved in supporting GNAAS.”
