Fell runner suffers head injury


A fell runner suffered a head injury in a fall at Crinkle Crag in the Lake District at around noon yesterday (Apr 19). The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the Lake District fell to help the 54-year-old man. The patient, from the Peak District, was treated by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew and Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team, before being airlifted from the valley and taken to hospital by road crew. .
