Driver airlifted after M6 crash


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the driver of a rolled car after a crash near to Junction 38 of the M6 at Tebay today (Feb 23). The car is believed to have hit a patch of snow, collided with another vehicle and then rolled over. The driver, a man in his 50s and from the Fleetwood area, suffered chest and arm injuries.

The driver, a man in his 50s and from the Fleetwood area, suffered chest and arm injuries. He was treated by the GNAAS aircrew before being flown to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
