A FARMER was airlifted to hospital after being dragged into farm machinery at Longtown, Cumbria.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at 11:14am on Sunday (March 20).
The man, in his late forties, suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle within 18 minutes. He arrived in a stable condition.
GNAAS is a charity and needs to raise £4.5m every year to continue to operate.
