Carlisle woman flown to hospital after ladder fall


A CARLISLE woman has been flown to hospital after she fell from a ladder at her home. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at around 4:50pm on October 23. The woman, in her 60s, had sustained a severe head injury and was anaesthetised at the scene by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
