Carlisle woman flown to hospital after fall in Buttermere


A CARLISLE woman was airlifted to hospital after falling in the Lake District yesterday (July 25). The 63-year-old woman had taken a tumble while descending from High Stile in Buttermere. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team at around 5:30pm. The GNAAS crew assessed and treated the woman for an arm injury before she was flown to Royal Preston Hospital within 25 minutes, where she arrived in a stable condition..
